Lighting that changes how a room feels, and stays working
Good lighting is the cheapest remodel you'll ever do. A dim, flat room becomes warm and inviting with the right layout, the right color temperature, and the right dimming. A dark kitchen becomes a place you actually want to cook in. And when a fixture starts flickering, buzzing, or stops working altogether, you want it diagnosed and fixed right the first time.
We design, install, and repair indoor lighting for Utah homes: recessed ceiling lighting, chandeliers and pendants, under-cabinet lighting, accent and cove lighting, vanity lighting, and full smart-control systems. We plan layered lighting so general, task, and accent layers each do their job, then dim independently. And when something breaks, we troubleshoot the switch, dimmer, fixture, or wiring and get it back on.

Indoor Lighting Questions
Indoor Lighting FAQs for Utah Homeowners

Can you add recessed lighting without opening drywall?
Yes. Modern LED canless retrofit fixtures install through a 6-inch hole and look clean from the room. We snake the wiring, mount the fixtures, and pair them with the right dimmer. Most rooms can be done in a day with minimal mess.
How many recessed lights do I need in a room?
Rough rule of thumb is one 4-inch can per 16 to 20 square feet of ceiling, or one 6-inch can per 24 to 30 square feet. We adjust based on ceiling height, room shape, and how much task lighting is in the room. Spacing matters more than count.
What color temperature should I pick?
2700K (warm white) feels cozy and is best for living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms. 3000K to 3500K is best for kitchens, baths, laundry, and workspaces. Mixing temperatures inside a single space looks bad, so we match everything in a room.
Why do my LEDs flicker or buzz when dimmed?
Almost always a mismatch between the dimmer and the bulb. Old incandescent dimmers don't play nice with LEDs. We swap to ELV or LED-rated dimmers and set the low-end trim so your LEDs dim smoothly all the way down.
Do you install chandeliers, fans, and pendants?
Yes. We install new fixtures, swap old ones, upgrade to fan-rated boxes when needed, and handle tall and vaulted ceilings with proper lifts so the install is safe and clean.
What about smart lighting and dimmers?
We install Lutron Caseta, Lutron RA3, Leviton Decora Smart, and similar smart-switch systems. We can set scenes, automate sunrise and sunset, and integrate with Alexa, Google Home, or Apple HomeKit.
How much does indoor lighting cost in Utah?
Most recessed-lighting projects run $150 to $300 per can installed depending on access and switching. A new chandelier install runs $200 to $500. Full-room lighting redesigns run $1,500 to $6,000. We give a firm written quote after the walkthrough.
Can you repair a fixture, switch, or dimmer that stopped working?
Yes. Light-repair calls are some of the most common work we do. We diagnose dead fixtures, intermittent switches, buzzing dimmers, flickering LEDs, tripping breakers on lighting circuits, and bad neutrals. We fix the actual cause, not just the symptom.
Can you help with the design or just installation and repair?
All three. Some homeowners come in knowing what they want. Others want help designing layered lighting that actually works. And many call us simply because something stopped working. We handle design, install, and repair under one roof.
